My Story

Hi, I'm Kirstie, the face behind Loud Fitness. If you'd have told young-me that she would one day be a fitness instructor, she would have laughed! As an exercise-phobe for most of my life, it was a surprise when I stumbled into a group fitness class and fell in love with it. The music, the laughs, the encouragement and the acceptance. It all just clicked and a new obsession was born. I crept my way from the back to become an FRD (front row diva) and took the plunge to become an instructor myself in 2017.

Within 18 months, I had certified in 5 Les Mills programmes, completed my yoga teacher training and had a few freestyle classes under my belt too. I was teaching back to back classes most evenings on top of my day job... That's ADHD for you! I used to say "I'll teach anything except spin and dance". But then, many years later, I saw classes blending dance fitness and rock music on TikTok and my little metalhead heart swelled... A fitness class to my favourite music?? I had to be a part of this... even if it meant dancing!

So I took the plunge and certified in a dance fitness class! Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I am not a dancer, but what I lack in finesse, I make up for in passion. Though I don't do the dancing anymore and have focussed on creating my own classes, it's the same with my other classes. In my yoga-based ZenRock classes, I may not be the most flexible person out there, but I will guide you through what to do to get the most out of your bodies abilities. With Heavy Hits the energy is more about smashing the granny out of the air and having a good time. When you come to my classes don't expect perfection. What I can promise you instead is laughs, enthusiasm and a judgement-free space to let loose. 

Loud Fitness was born from a passion for heavy music and fitness. Drawing on the energy and community of rock and metal and providing a wellness space that caters to the strange and unusual. It's not just about loud music, it's about being authentically you. Whether you want to punch and sweat with Heavy Hits or embrace your chilled out side with ZenRock, I have space for you in my community. I invite you to join me and unleash your inner rock star! We have a mixture of live and online classes for you to enjoy! In person classes take place across venues in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, check the booking system for full details of locations!

In Person: Heavy Hits

Heavy Hits is a workout that is loud, sweaty, powerful and maybe a touch scary! Combining heavy basslines from metal classics to DnB bangers with fight-ready moves it's a workout that doubles as stress-therapy. Punch, kick and strike to the beat, building stamina, strength and attitude.

In Person: ZenRock

ZenRock is my yoga-based offering featuring grounding breathwork, relaxed movement and mindful meditation. It is beginner friendly and can be modified to suit your abilities. The class will always contain gentle, slow sequences to help you connect to your body with powerful dynamic flows occasionally mixed in.

COMING SOON Online: ZenRock

ZenRock online gives you the opportunity to take things at your own pace in the comfort of your home. Pick a class that matches your vibe ranging from 15 minute grounding practices to 60 minute slow flows. Each class comes with a suggested playlist or the option to listen to what your heart desires.

Opening Hours

Whenever my ADHD allows! Most responsive at unsociable hours. Live classes are on weekday evenings and responses will be given around my work and personal commitments.
